History

The RIW team, including rehabilitation medicine physicians, pain psychologists, physical and occupational therapists, vocational counselors, and administrative staff, moved the CARF accredited Pain Management Program to RIW from Virginia Mason Medical Center in 2005. We continue to offer this successful program and a broad range of rehabilitation services for injured workers and others with chronic pain and disability. In addition, we have added additional therapy staff, an occupational medicine physician, a physician assistant, neuropsychologists, psychometrists, speech language pathologists and medical assistants, and we developed a very successful CARF-accredited Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program. We also added Work Rehabilitation Programs (Work Conditioning and Work Hardening), and a Concussion Clinic for sports injuries, MVAs, assaults, on-the-job injuries, or other types of head injury.
