ABOUT US
Our History
The RIW team—including rehab medicine physicians, pain psychologists, physical and occupational therapists, vocational counselors, and admin staff—moved the CARF-accredited Pain Management Program from Virginia Mason Medical Center to RIW in 2005.
We continue to offer this successful program (now known as SIMP) along with a wide range of rehab services for injured workers and individuals with persistent pain and disability. Since then, we’ve expanded our team to include specialists in neuropsychology and speech language pathology, as well as support staff.
We also developed a highly successful CARF-accredited Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program, launched Work Rehabilitation Programs (Work Conditioning and Work Hardening), and opened a Concussion Clinic for work-related and other head injuries.
